Estate cars are for families looking for more practical cars compared to sedans. That might be its actual definition but mind you, the 2017 Mercedes-AMG E 63 can do much more than taking your son's football friends to the field or doing grocery shopping. In fact, it can bring a lot of enthusiasm to such otherwise mundane tasks.
The heart of the matter is the 4.0?litre V8 bi-turbo engine that puts out 612PS and 850Nm and is mated to a 9-speed automatic. The German car manufacturer claims that the 2017 Mercedes-AMG E 63 S Estate can reach 100kmph in 3.5 seconds, making it the fastest estate car. All that power and torque made by the bi-turbo motor is sent to all four wheels using Merc's 4Matic tech. Mercedes states that for improved traction and vehicle dynamics, the regular E 63 Estate has a mechanical rear-axle limited-slip differential, while the S model comes with an electronically controlled version. The 2017 Mercedes-AMG E 63 Estate will be showcased at the 87th Geneva Motor Show which is scheduled to happen next week.
