Hyundai Creta 1.4-litre turbo petrol delisted from official website

The Hyundai Creta 1.4-litre turbo petrol variants has been delisted from the brand's official website. Thus, the SUV is now only available with RDE-compliant 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel powertrain options. The discontinued 1.4-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine produced 140PS at 6,000rpm and 242Nm of torque between 1,500rpm and 3,200rpm.

It has been speculated that Hyundai would replace the 1.4-litre turbo petrol motor with a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit in the Creta. Notably, it has already been confirmed that a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine will make its debut with the all-new Verna. This new engine will also meet RDE (BS6 stage-2) norms. Meanwhile, Hyundai is likely to offer the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol motor in the upcoming Creta facelift.

It is claimed that the Seltos and Carens will get the new RDE-compliant 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit like the upcoming new-generation Verna. Furthermore, Hyundai recently opened bookings for the all-new Verna.
