Every Maserati to get EV version by 2025

Maserati has announced that every model in its line-up will have an EV drivetrain option by 2025. Following this, the iconic Italian brand will go fully electric by 2030. The company is calling this it's Folgore electrification strategy and the first car in this program will be the all-electric version of the upcoming new-gen Maserati GranTurismo in 2023.

Maserati EV launch timeline

Also in 2023, the Maserati Grecale SUV will get an electric version. The Grecale will sit below the Levante in the line-up and is set to make its global debut next month. Following this the Maserati MC20 supercar will get its all-electric version in 2025. The next generation of the Maserati Quattroporte sedan and Levante SUV will also have debuted by this time, along with their electric-only versions.

Then as a part of Stellantis' larger electrification plans, Maserati will turn into an electric-only brand by 2030. All of its EVs will be manufactured in Italy, and the company assures that the brand's innovation and performance credentials won't be diluted with this shift.

Maserati Levante Hybrid India

The first electrified Maserati for India will be the Maserati Levante Hybrid. Order books for the mild-hybrid SUV have already opened with deliveries beginning later this year. Powering the Maserati Levante Hybrid is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol that pairs with a 48V belt-driven starter generator and an electric supercharger, the outputs being 330PS at 5,750rpm and 450 Nm at 2,250rpm, pairing with an eight-speed automatic. The Italian carmaker claims that placing the battery for the 48V system on the rear axle has let this version keep the 50:50 weight distribution that the brand is known for. The SUV can get from 0 to 100 kmph in 6s and reach a 240 kmph top speed.
