BMW Chennai plant completes 15 years of operations
BMW India has revealed that the company's Chennai facility has now completed 15 years in opeation. The plant produced its debut model on March 29, 2007, with a BMW 3 Series being the first vehicle manufactured.
BMW India presently produces 13 models in the nation after 15 years of existence. BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series, BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine, BMW 7 Series, BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X4, BMW X5, BMW X7, BMW M340i, BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo, and Mini Countryman are all included in this group.
With innovative manufacturing techniques, technology, state-of-the-art machinery, and qualified colleagues, the manufacturing facility claims exceptional output. According to the firm, every automobile that leaves the factory meets the same international quality requirements as every other BMW Group plant around the globe.
Recently the facility also rolled out its 1,00,000th manufactured vehicle which happened to be a BMW Individual 740Li M Sport Edition. BMW India recently also announced that they will be hiking the prices of their cars by 3.5 percent.
