The German automobile manufacturer will launch the 2 Series GC with a 2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, that will make 190PS of power and 400Nm of torque. This engine is coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is said to be one of the most emission friendly diesel engines that BMW has made so far with a diesel particulate filter, selective catalyst reduction and a NOx adsorption catalyst enabling it to meet Euro 6d-TEMP emission regulations. There will also be 2.0-litre turbo petrol in the offering, making a similar power output, that will arrive later.

In terms of styling, the 2 Series Coupe comes with a well-sculpted design and packs in all the signature traits that BMWs are famous for. Also, the kidney grille is much to the proportions of everyone's liking, unlike the new age M3 and M4. The 2 Series GC is a FWD sedan as its architecture is based on the same platform as the 1 Series. Further, BMW will also be offering the M Sport package which offers a firmer ride with the ground clearance lowered by 10mm. Stay tuned to OVERDRIVE as bring live updates from the launch event.
