Bajaj Auto launches 2017 model line-up

Bajaj Auto has just launched its 2017 model line-up for India comprising of the 2017 Pulsar 180, 2017 Pulsar 150 and the 2017 Pulsar 135LS. All three motorcycles have received a few cosmetic tweaks, and Baja Auto has increased their prices as well. Bajaj Auto has updated the engines on the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 180 and the 2017 Pulsar 135LS to make them compliant with BS-IV emission norms.

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 180 is being offered in a new colour scheme with body graphics. In terms of mechanicals, it retains the same 178.6cc DTS-I air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which still makes 17.02PS of power at 8,000rpm and 14.22Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. It now comes equipped with a rear disc brake. The instrument console gets a blue backlight illumination similar to the Bajaj Pulsar 220F. The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 180 costs Rs 79,545 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is around Rs 3,000 more than the outgoing model.

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 150 retains the same 149cc, 4-stroke, DTS-I air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which makes 15.06PS of power at 9,000rpm and 12.5Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. The updates include a new colour scheme, body graphics and carbon-fibre accents. The other change is that it now gets tubeless tyres as standard. The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 150 costs Rs 73,513 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is a marginal Rs 800 more than the outgoing model.

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 135LS now gets a single-seat layout and single-piece grab rail instead of the split seat and split grab rail design on the outgoing model. The exhaust has received a matte black finish along with the heat shield. It retains the 134.66cc engine of the outgoing model which makes 13.56PS of power at 9,000rpm and 11.4Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 135LS is priced at Rs 60,178 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is around Rs 2,000 more than the outgoing model.
