Auto Expo 2023: Tata Sierra EV showcased in almost production ready guise

The Sierra EV SUV concept from Tata Motors, which appears to be almost production ready, was on display at the Auto Expo. On the occasion, an improved version of the Sierra EV concept that debuted at Auto Expo 2020 was displayed as the electric Tata Sierra SUV concept.

A cleaner style is present up front, but the bumpers have been modified, and the LED DRLs are now wider than the bonnet. Even with the large skid plate, it appears more sleeker and more accessible. The only observable changes to the profile are a minimally revised side plate and the regularly opening doors (the initial concept got a sliding rear door).

It still features a flat roofline, wide wheel arches, and even the alloy wheel style is the same. But compared to earlier, the shoulder line is much more noticeable.

Inside, the narrative is the same. very almost ready for manufacturing. You now get actual seats in place of a flat bench in the third row, and the dashboard is graded and has a dual-tone finish. The steering wheel is still from the Avinya idea, and if you look closely, you can also see a central tunnel (something that was absent before). Similar to before, Tata has kept the powertrain details a secret, so there isn't much to go on.

However, we predict it will make use of Tata's Ziptron technology and may have a dual-motor arrangement that drives all four wheels. However, only time will be able to prove these conjectures.
