Audi R8 LMS Cup: Patel to resume title fight in Sepang

Aditya Patel will continue his fight for the Audi R8 LMS Cup championship title at Sepang in Malaysia after the summer break.

Franky Cheng (CHN) FAW-VW Audi Racing Team and Aditya Patel (IND) Audi R8 LMS Cup Team celebrate on the podium at Audi R8 LMS Cup, Penbay International Circuit, Taiwan 3-5 July 2015

Aditya currently leads the championship standings after seven races. However, with a lack of track time during the break, he could be at a slight disadvantage. Having finished outside the top five just once this season, Patel is looking to clinch his first win after claiming four podium finishes in the seven races. He is sponsored by Audi India, JK Tyre and Jubilant Motorworks.

"I'm really looking forward to getting back in the Audi R8 after such a long break. This is the first circuit this year that I have actually driven at before so hopefully the experience will come in handy. I've been training hard physically during the break and hope to score my first win of the season this weekend," said Patel.

Aditya set to resume title Challenge

"I'm really looking forward to getting back in the Audi R8 after such a long break. This is the first circuit this year that I have actually driven at before so hopefully the experience will come in handy. I've been training hard physically during the break and hope to score my first win of the season this weekend." said Aditya. Both races will take place on Sunday as part of the Asian Festival of Speed.
