2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6: Old Vs New

Maruti Suzuki XL6 has received its long-awaited facelift. The XL6 is simply a more premium Maruti Suzuki Ertiga with a higher price tag. The fact that Maruti distributes it through its NEXA shops attests to this. The 6-seater MPV has sparked a lot of curiosity among consumers and is nearly unchallenged in the MPV sector. Let's take a look at the differences between the new and the outgoing models of the Maruti Suzuki XL6.

2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6- Design

The Maruti Suzuki XL6 undergoes modest aesthetic alterations as a result of the facelift. New chrome surround grille, reworked rear taillamps, glossy black finish on the B and C pillars, sporty spoiler, new tailgate garnish, shark fin antenna and wider 16-inch diamond-cut allow wheels are among the changes. While there are minor changes, the general silhouette remains consistent with the previous model.

2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6- Engine and Gearbox

Similarly to the new Ertiga, the revised Maruti Suzuki XL6 replaces the previous 1.5L K15B petrol engine with the newer K15C engine. With DualJet technology, this new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine produces 103PS and 137Nm of peak torque, which is 2PS and 1Nm less than its predecessor.

Fuel-efficiency figures have improved with the new engine, which now features a start-stop function. The XL6 MT has an ARAI rated fuel efficiency figure of 20.97 kmpl while the AT returns 20.27 kmpl.

The outdated 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission is replaced by a far more modern 6-speed one with paddle shifters in the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6.

On the interior, Maruti has added a slew of modern creature amenities to keep up with the changing needs of its clients.
