2021 Hyundai Alcazar unveiled, engine details revealed

Hyundai has released the first images of the upcoming 2021 Hyundai Alcazar, ahead of its launch in the next few weeks. The Alcazar is the three-row iteration of the Hyundai Creta and will be available in six or seven-seat versions. The company has also revealed the Hyundai Alcazar's engine details.

2021 Hyundai Alcazar engine details

The big development here is that the Hyundai Alcazar will get a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, unlike the 1.5-litre N/A and 1.4-litre turbo engines in the Creta. This motor makes 169PS and 191 Nm. The diesel motor continues unchanged from the Creta, the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel putting out 115PS and 250 Nm. Both engines will come paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque-converter automatic. Hyundai India claims a 0 to 100 kmph time of under 10s for the petrol-manual Alcazar. There will be three drive modes too - Eco, City and Sport although the off-road modes from the Creta seem to have been given a miss.

The new SUV should also come with more features over the Creta like a 360-degree camera and more amenities for second-row passengers.
