2021 Audi S5 Sportback launched in India, priced at Rs 79.06 lakh
Audi has launched the Audi S5 Sportback four-door coupe in India with prices starting from Rs 79.06 lakh. The S5 Sportback comes to India as a CBU is the updated iteration of the current B9 generation of the car. It is derived from the recently launched facelifted Audi A4 and replaces the earlier two-door RS5 in India.
The Audi S5 Sportback is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol that puts out 359PS and 500 Nm. This pairs with an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. Also added is Audi's quattro all-wheel-drive system and a self-locking rear differential. Torque is split 40:60 between the front and rear axles and there is an S Sports suspension package. Adjustable damping can be added at an extra cost. In numbers, the S5 Sportback can do 0 to 100 kmph in 4.8s and reach a 250 kmph top-speed.
Exterior highlights are the widened full-face grille, now flanked by the segmented Matrix LED headlamps, both of which have been revised. Also new is the detailing around the bumpers, the new diffusers and the taillamps. There are 19-inch wheels, optional red brake callipers and aluminium highlights around the door mirrors. The S5 specifically adds sharper-looking bumpers, a beefier sill and four-pot exhausts as well.
On the inside, notable enhancements are the horizontally-themed dash design trimmed in carbon-fibre patterns and Alcantara. The S5 Sportback further adds a flat-bottomed steering wheel, sport seats finished in leather and Alcantara and aluminium inlays. Other highlights are the stainless steel pedals and S highlights on the door sill and centre console.
The features list of the S5 Sportback consists of the 12.3-inch digital instrumentation, a 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment and a panoramic sunroof. Optional features are a 19-speaker Bang and Olufsen audio system, a head-up display, an auto-parking feature and a powered tailgate.
