2019 Hyundai Venue SUV: Variant features list revealed

One of the most anticipated car launches of this year has to be the Hyundai Venue, for it is the first that the Korean car manufacturer is venturing into the sub-4m compact SUV genre. This segment has players likes the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and the Mahindra XUV300. Hyundai India will be trying to replicate the success of Creta SUV in this segment. The official launch is slated to take place on May 21, while the company's dealerships across the country have already started accepting bookings for the Venue for a token amount of Rs 21,000. Hyundai will be offering the Venue in four main variants in both petrol and diesel engines with an option between manual and automatic transmissions. Here is a list down of all the features that will be offered in these variants.

E Variant

Similar to the Creta, the Hyundai Venue's base variant will be called E. The features list that will be offered in this variant include dual front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensor and speed sensing door locks in the safety section. it will also get fabric upholstery, adjustable headrests in the front, tilt adjustable steering wheel, front power windows, manual air-conditioner and a 12V power outlet in the front. The Hyundai Venue E will be offered with an option between 1.2-litre petrol engine with 5-speed manual transmission and a 1.4-litre diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission.

S Variant

Positioned above the E, is the Hyundai Venue S variant that comes equipped with a more premium chrome grille, body coloured ORVMs, roof rails on the exterior. Inside, it will have keyless entry, power windows, steering mounted controls, fabric upholstery in dual-stitching, luggage lamp, rear AC vents, glove box with cooling, 2-DIN audio system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity that makes use of four speakers and two tweeters. The SUV cabin also gets storage under front armrest and a rear parcel tray. In the DCT model, it will be offered with vehicle stability programe and ESC. The Venue S trim will be offered with a choice between 1.2-litre petrol engine with 5-speed manual transmission, 1.0-litre turbo petrol with 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic unit and lastly a 1.4-litre diesel with a 6-speed manual transmission.

SX Variant

The more premium SX variant of the Hyundai Venue will feature automatic headlights with LED DRLs, projector fog lamps, LED tail lights, 16-inch diamond finished alloys, turn indicator embedded mirrors, sunrood, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, electrically adjustable ORVMs, cruise control, 8-inch Arkamys enabled system with voice recognition. This variant will be offered with a 1-litre turbo petrol mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT or a 1.4-litre diesel paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The SX with dual-tone finish also gets leather seats.

SX(O) Variant

The top of the line SX (O) variant of the Venue gets side and curtain airbags, EBA, wireless charging, start/stop ignition button, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Car Play and Android Auto connectivity, cup holders on the rear seat armrest and a rear wiper and washer,
