Rynox Vapour Pro base layers

For the past few track outing, I have been using the Vapour Pro base layers from Rynox gears. Most of the use has been in the humid and sticky weather of Thailand (Buriram circuit) and Chennai (MMRT). The layers work as advertised, keeping it cool inside the suit and the sweat/moisture wicking is far better than some of the pricier stuff from some noteworthy brands as well as some of the cheaper stuff you get at Decathlon.

Having a monkey paw helps, but I wish Rynox fixes the seam that leads up to it - it starts around the outer side of the armpit and twists/turns around the elbow to reach the bottom of the thumb. You can feel the twist in the seam when moving around without the suit, but not so much while riding. It shouldn't be too hard to keep the seam and the aperture of the monkey paw independent of each other.

The layers fit true to size and don't crumple or collect, are thin and light and the feel of the material is quite good. It's too early to speak about its build and stitch quality, but they seem like they would last well. At ?1,500 each for the top and bottom layers, they are priced rather well too and the imported brands could cost at least three times more. They only offer it in one colour - a grey with subtle reflective print/branding on it, but Rynox should also do a black. These layers work well under touring suits too. I certainly recommend considering these if you are on the lookout for well-built and economically priced base layers.
