Yamaha Fascino 125 and RayZR 125 Recalled in India

Yamaha Motor India has announced a voluntary recall covering 3,06,635 units of its popular RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid scooters. The recall applies to scooters manufactured between May 2, 2024, and September 3, 2025.

According to the company, the campaign has been initiated to address a potential issue in select units where the front brake calliper may exhibit limited performance under certain operating conditions. As a precautionary measure, Yamaha will inspect the affected scooters and replace the required components.

Owners can check whether their scooter is part of the recall by visiting the Service section on the Yamaha Motor India website. Alternatively, searching for 'Voluntary Recall Campaign Yamaha' on Google will lead to an official page where customers can enter their scooter's chassis number to verify recall status. Yamaha has confirmed that all affected customers will receive the necessary replacement parts free of charge at their nearest authorised Yamaha dealership.

The Fascino uses a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that pushes 8.2 PS at 6,500 rpm and 10.3 Nm of peak torque. In terms of tech and rider aids, the scooter comes equipped with colour TFT dash, LED DRLs, uni-braking system, transistor controlled ignition, side-stand engine cut-off, 21-litre underseat storage, smart motor generator system, to name a few. The scooter rides on 12-inch wheels that come shod with tubeless tyres, with a drum brake unit at the rear and a disc/drum setup at the front section depending upon the variant.
