Volkswagen Taigun is now available with limited period offer; new price starts at 11 lakh
Volkswagen has slashed prices on select variants of its Taigun SUV in India. The new starting price is now Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom), a significant reduction from the previous price. However, there is a limited time frame to avail this offer.
Volkswagen Taigun updated prices:
To start with, the entry-level Taigun Comfortline 1.0-litre MT variant gets a price cut of Rs 70,000 and is now priced at Rs 10,99,900 (ex-showroom). Then, the Taigun GT Chrome Plus 1.5-litre DSG and GT Plus Chrome 1.5-litre DSG (with added features) now cost Rs 18,69,000 (ex-showroom). They were previously priced at Rs 19,43,900 and 19,73,900 (both ex-showroom).
Not only that, the brand is offering the Taigun GT Edge Limited Collection variants at discounted prices. The Taigun GT Edge 1.5-litre DSG in Deep Black Pearl and Carbon Steel Grey Matte are now available at Rs 18,89,900 (ex-showroom) instead of 19,63,900 and 19,69,900 (both ex-showroom), respectively. On the flip side, the Taigun 1.5-litre GT Edge DSG (with added features) offered in the same two colours now also cost Rs 18,89,900 (ex-showroom). The Deep Black Pearl and Carbon Steel Grey Matte shades were previously priced at Rs 19,93,900 and 19,99,900 (both ex-showroom), respectively.
Volkswagen Taigun: Engine specifications
Powering the Taigun is a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine producing 115PS and 148Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol motor that makes 150PS and 250Nm. The TSI Evo unit also comes with cylinder deactivation technology, claiming to make it fuel efficient. Transmission options include a six-speed manual, six-speed torque convertor automatic, and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
