Volkswagen Taigun is now available in a new colour
Volkswagen has updated the Taigun's colour options with the addition of a new Rising Blue paint job. This paint job debuted with the launch of the Taigun Anniversary Edition that took place a couple of months ago. The Rising Blue paint is now available across all variants of the SUV.
The Taigun was introduced in India with a choice of five exterior colour options: Wild Cherry Red, Curcuma Yellow, Candy White, Carbon Steel Grey, and Reflex Silver. It now offers Rising Blue, which is identical to the Rising Blue Metallic shade available with the Virtus. Meanwhile, the SUV is offered with five trim levels: Comfortline, Highline, Topline, GT, and GT Plus.
The highlights of the Taigun include USB Type-C sockets at the front and back, an eight-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, six speakers, rain and light sensors, fog lamps with static cornering lights, a rearview camera with parking sensors, TPMS, hill start assist, brake assist, multi-collision brakes, ESC, paddle shifters, cruise control, and engine idle start/stop, among others.
Powering the SUV are a 1.0-litre, inline-three turbo-petrol producing 115PS and 178Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol motor that makes 150PS and 250Nm of torque. The former comes mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, while the latter is paired with a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG automatic unit.
Volkswagen's Taigun takes on likes of the Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and MG Astor.
