The new ID.3 from Volkswagen was just announced. The new EV has sharper exteriors, better build quality, and the newest assistance and convenience features.

To give the EV a new design, Volkswagen performed several exterior alterations. Together with a freshly created front bumper, the new ID.3 has improved aerodynamics.

The ID 3 continues to be built on the MEB chassis and uses the same batteries and rear-mounted motor as previously. The line-up has been condensed, with Pro and Pro S being the only specs available, in an effort to simplify manufacturing.

The Pro and Pro S automobiles have similar 210PS and 309Nm torque outputs. The first has a 58kWh battery and a 426km range, and the second has a 77kWh pack with a 545km range. VW has upped the ID 3's maximum DC rapid-charging rate from 125kW to 170kW in order to match adjustments made to the ID 4's bigger counterpart.

The 10.0-inch touchscreen in the centre has been replaced with a 12.0-inch touchscreen. The head-up display now supports augmented reality features originally seen on the VW ID 4, and the optional cloud-based speech-recognition technology has been improved to give it quicker reaction times.

Higher-grade components also find their way inside, such as the better plastic with updated graining on the lower part of the dashboard. New materials are also added to the upper section of the dashboard on higher-spec versions.
