The Vinfast VF7 electric SUV is being tested in the country and spy shots of the same have surfaced on the internet. Vinfast was first showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility in January.

The company showcased many of its products, of which the VF6, VF7 and the VF3 garnered a lot of attention. The VF7 in international markets is offered in two variants with a 75.3 kWh battery pack that powers a single electric motor. Both variants are identical in terms of dimension, but in terms of power the Eco variant pushes 201 PS and 310 Nm of peak torque, and the Plus variant pushes 348 PS and 500 Nm of peak torque. We can expect some tweaks to the powertrain and features before the production version starts plying the Indian roads.

The Eco mode claims a range of 450 km (WLTP) and the Plus variant claims a range of 431 km (WLTP) on a single charge. The five-seater electric SUV rides on 17-inch wheels for the Eco variant and 19-inch wheel for the Plus variant.

Other noteworthy mentions include a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, over-the-air updates, highway assist (level-2), lane centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and emergency lane keep assist to name a few. Upon launch the VF7 will lock horns with the likes of the Tata Harrier.ev, Mahindra XE 9e and the BYD Atto 3 to name a few. The Vinfast VF6 is likely to have a price tag between Rs 45-50 lakh upon launch.
