Viacom18 secures exclusive MotoGP rights for India

Viacom18 has announced that it has secured new telecast rights to exclusively live-stream MotoGP on JioCinema and Sports18 in India. India will mark its historic debut on the MotoGP calendar on 24 September, 2023. Notably, MotoGP World Championship is the highest-level motorcycle racing in the world.

The coverage for this season will tip off with the Grand Premio de Portugal. Viacom18 will also provide a complete live presentation of the MotoGP, including practice sessions on Friday and Saturday, qualifying and Sprint on Saturday, and the main race on Sunday.

As mentioned earlier, the MotoGP World Championship is the highest level of motorcycle racing. And the 2023 season will be the largest series to date. It will witness 21 races across 18 countries, including the milestone 14th round in India, marking its debut. With this, MotoGP buffs across the country will rejoice as the 11 teams and 22 riders will arrive for the Grand Prix of India between 22 and 24 September, 2023. In addition to the Moto2 and Moto3 races, the India round will be geared-up to welcome 80 riders and 40 teams during the race weekend.
