Updated Mahindra XUV400 to get new variants and more features

A recently leaked documents have revealed that the updated Mahindra XUV400 will come with two new variants, dubbed EC Pro and EL Pro, a range of new features, and a fresh interior. These new variants are likely to be introduced to compete against the top-spec variants of the refreshed Tata Nexon EV, which also has been the highest-selling SUV in the country. Currently, the XUV400 is available with EC and EL variants.

2024 Mahindra XUV400 EC Pro and EL Pro: New features

To start with, the new XUV400 EC Pro variant will get two USB charging sockets, push start/stop switch, rear air-con vents, OCPI (Open Charge Point Interface) hub integration, and keyless entry. Whereas, the EL Pro variant will benefit from a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster (the updated XUV400 is expected to borrow the AdrenoX dual-screen setup from XUV700), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, in-built Amazon Alexa assistant, auto-dimming IRVM, cruise control, a wireless charging pad, OTA updates, six airbags, and fog lights. The top-spec model will also boast a dual-tone interior with a new steering wheel.

Apart from that, the electric SUV will boast a revamped dashboard, AdrenoX charge connect function, and a dual-zone temperature control. On the outside, it is likely to sport a fresh design similar to the XUV300 facelift.

2024 Mahindra XUV400 EC Pro and EL Pro: Range and battery pack

The EC Pro will come powered by a 34.5kWh, while the EL Pro can be had with either 34.5kWh or 39.4kWh unit. The 34.5kWh battery pack claims to offer a real-world range of 250km. On the other hand, the larger 39.4kWh unit claims to provide a real-world range of 290km. The electric motor will make 150PS, resulting 0-100kmph in 8.3 seconds.

2024 Mahindra XUV400 EC Pro and EL Pro: Prices

The upcoming XUV400 facelift is expected to attract a higher premium of about Rs 30,000-60,000 over the on-sale model, which has been priced between Rs 15.99 lakh and Rs 19.19 lakh (both ex-showroom).
