The Toyota Vellfire has been selling better than expected in the Indian market and now as Toyota is gearing up to unveil the next-gen Toyota Vellfire and Alphard globally in June 2023, some leaked images show us what the 2 MPVs will look like. Both vehicles are based on the new Lexus LM, which was unveiled in April. We also expect this new Vellfire to debut in India later this year.

Both, the Vellfire and Alphard measure 4,945 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, 1,895 mm in length and a wheelbase of 3,000 mm.

The leaked photographs show both models clearly, with tweaks to their front fascias. Both the Vellfire and Alphard will get a revised front grille with slightly curved horizontal slats, with unique designs to help distinguish the two. The sleek headlights, which are situated above the rectangular LED daytime running lamps, are attached to the grille and blend in with its features.

The tail lighting on both minivans has also been modified. When compared to current versions, the new units are far more sporty. Leaked photographs also show a new exterior body paint for Alphard in Precious Leo Blonde (4Y7).

In the worldwide market, Alphard and Vellfire have identical paint schemes. White Pearl, Steel Blonde Metallic, and Black are among them. Luxury White Pearl for the Alphard and Burning Black for the Vellfire are exclusive paint choices.

The new Vellfire and Alphard will have two engine options: a 2.5-litre hybrid and a 2.4-litre turbo-petrol engine. In India, the Vellfire will likely continue to use a hybrid powertrain. Currently in India, the Vellfire is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with two electric motors. The combined power output is rated at 197PS (Approximate). Transmission duties are handled by a CVT gearbox.

Inside, new Toyota Alphard and Vellfire models are set to receive minor upgrades. Captain seats with Ottoman function, ambient LED lighting on the ceiling, tri-zone air conditioning, Toyota telematics system, full leather seats, premium sound system, and full digital rearview mirror are already standard equipment on existing models.

A big, free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, automated parking brake, cruise control, moonroof, and wireless charging are among the other attractions. 7 SRS airbags, vehicle stability control, traction control, ABS, braking assist, EBD, hill start assist control, and a blind spot monitor are included in the safety kit.

The Toyota Vellfire retails at Rs 96.55 lakh in a single trim in India. Should we expect the Vellfire to have a slightly more affordable price tag in the future? Maybe with the introduction of the Lexus LM, that could be a possibility.
