From the Sao Paulo Motor Show, Hyundai has showcased this, the HB20X softroader, a car limited only for the Brazilian market. The HB20X is based on the HB20 hatchback which was unveiled last month. It has a jacked up ground clearance, tints to headlamps and tail lamps, dark plastic on the lower edge of the car, roof rails and HB20X black detailing on the doors. Ironically, it comes at the same time when Honda displayed its Fit Twist. There will be no all-wheel drive for the HB20X and it will be powered by a 128PS 1.6-litre Gamma engine.

The interiors of the car displayed in Brazil had more pizzazz than the standard HB20 hatch. However, Hyundai says that not all of this will make it when the car goes on production earlier next year. The Korean company is also planning a sedan version of the HB. Piracicaba in Brazil will be the manufacturing hub for the entire HB range.
