UM Motorcycles opens new dealership in Indore
UM Motorcycles has inaugurated a new dealership in Indore. The dealership - UM Indore - is located at 71, Khajrana Road, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. With the opening of this showroom, UM Motorcycles has now 12 dealerships across India. The company is also planning to launch 38 new showrooms in India by the end of 2017.
This is also the first dealership by UM Motorcycles in Madhya Pradesh. Spread over 1,500 sq. feet, the dealership houses an aftersales service centre, too. UM Indore will offer its flagship products like the Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sports S.
The Renegade Commando is powered by a 280cc engine which makes 25PS of power at 8,500rpm and 21.8Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. It's priced at Rs 1.70 lakh. The Renegade Sports S gets the same engine and gearbox combination. It's priced at Rs 1.60 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom, Indore). Both the bikes get 'Service Alert Maintenance' as a standard feature, whereas the LED lights are standard only in the Sports S version.
Along with these two bikes, UM Motorcycles also unveiled the Renegade Classic at the 2016 Auto Expo. Initially, the company planned to launch the Classic in August 2016 but later pushed the launch forward to April 2017.
Like the Sports S, the Renegade Classic too gets the same engine as the Commando. The Classic will rival the Royal Enfield 350, Mahindra Mojo and Kawasaki Ninja 300.
UM Motorcycles, which operates in over 25 countries, displayed its range of cruisers, sport, dual-purpose, adventure and scrambler models at the recently concluded Intermot 2016 in Cologne, Germany. Along with showcasing the Renegade, DSR and the Xtreet, UM Motorcycles announced its entry in the European markets.
