Hosur-based bike maker hosted the two-day 2023 MotoSoul 2.0 in Goa last weekend. The highlights of this event were the significantly modified four distinctive Ronin motorcycles, namely the Ronin SCR by TVS, Wakizashi by Rajputana Customs, Agonda by JVB Moto, and Musashi by Smoked Garage. Here we tell you everything about the TVS' custom version of the Ronin.

TVS Ronin SCR: Design

The Ronin SCR designed by TVS is a rugged scrambler version of the on-sale Ronin. The SCR in its name is an abbreviation for Special Custom Ronin and also means scrambler. Not only the in-house developed Ronin SCR features cosmetic changes but it also bears several mechanical modifications.

The Ronin gets a unique colour scheme similar to the Galactic Grey available for the Ronin. However, it features grey paint with yellow, white, and black stripes on the visor, front fender, fuel tank, rims, and side panels. Speaking of which, the Ronin SCR is equipped with a raised front fender, a small visor, oval-shaped side panels, a metal bash plate, a wide handlebar, and scrambler-style high-mounted dual exhaust pipes from TVS Factory Customs. Additionally, TVS has given it a hand-made leather seat.

TVS Ronin SCR: Mechanicals

To begin with, the Ronin SCR is fitted with spoke wheels. Notably, the on-sale Ronin comes with alloy wheels. In addition, it features block-pattern tyres by Shinko - 19-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear. TVS has also bestowed it with a colosseum laser-tech LED headlamp with daytime riding lights reminiscent of Porsche models. Furthermore, the Ronin SCR gets tweaked upside down front forks and rear monoshock with increased ride height suitable for off-road or dirt track riding. It also boasts a single-disc setup at both ends.

While the Ronin SCR appears near-production ready, it is just a custom-built scrambler project by the bike maker. It is also to be noted that TVS does not have any plans to introduce the Ronin SCR in India at the moment.
