TVS Raider 125 SmartXonnect launched at Rs 99,990
There are now three variants of the sporty commuter that is TVS Raider, available in India - the drum brake variant, the disc brake variant and now, the new SmartXonnect variant. With a pricetag of Rs 99,990, the new SmartXonnect variant comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT cluster which packs a bunch of features some advanced connectivity tech.
The screen is the only thing different from the regular drum and disc brake variants that are already out in the market. The TFT console allows Bluetooth connectivity which lets you manage call, SMS, notifications, voice assistance, and other updates. Voice activated turn-by-turn navigation looks like a very handy feature to have. For instance if you were on the lookout for a fuel bunk you could simply press the voice function the button and then give vocally command for directions after which, directions pop-up on the TFT screen.
The Raider SmartXonnect continues to be powered by the same motor as before with no mechanical alterations. This is the same 124.8cc single-cylinder with the max output of 11.3PS with torque at 11.2Nm. The five-speed gearbox and suspension remain the same as before too.
At Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom Delhi), the SmartXonnect variant of the TVS Raider costs about Rs 15,000 more than the drum model and little over Rs 5,000 more than the disc brake variant.
