Triumph Thruxton 400 launched for Rs 2.74 lakh

The Triumph Thruxton 400 has been launched for Rs 2.74 lakh and the cafe racer bike will rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Continental  GT 650, Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, Honda CB350RS and the Jawa 42 FJ to name a few.

The new Triumph Thruxton 400 uses the 398-cc TR series engine that comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine pushes 42 PS of max power at 9,000 RPM and 37 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The company claims a top speed of 161 kmph and 0-100 kmph sprint in 6.7 seconds.

The feature list includes a wide seat with profile suited for spirited riding posture, a 13-litre fuel tank that has been scooped out for the knees to grip the tank better, an upswept exhaust unit, clip on handlebars, a large visor with cafe racer styled fairing, side cover with Thruxton badging, 17-inch alloy wheels, disc brakes on both ends with ABS, and suspension duties are done by USD forks up front with 140 mm travel and a monoshock at the rear. The bike has an 805 mm seat height and a fuel tank capacity of 13-litres. And it tips the scales at 181 kg.

The accessories list includes roll bag, engine guard, radiator guard, quilted seat, tank pad and mud splash protection kit to name a few.
