Triumph Speed T4 now retails for Rs 1.99 lakh
The Triumph Speed T4 has received a price revision and it now starts at Rs 1.99 lakh, which is Rs 18,000 lower than the outgoing price.
The Triumph Speed T4 is based on the Speed 400 but with an affordable price tag and skipping a few features on the elder sibling. The Triumph Speed T4 houses the same 398.15cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine in the perimeter frame that comes mated to a six speed transmission. The engine pushes 31 PS at 7,000 rpm and 36 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. The power and torque figures are inferior when compared to the Triumph Speed 400 which uses the same engine.
The Triumph Speed T4 runs on 17-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels with braking duties done by a 300 mm rotor upfront and a 230 mm rotor at the rear. Suspension duties are done by a 43 mm telescopic unit for the front section with 140 mm of travel and a gas charged monoshock at the rear with 120 mm of travel.
The Triumph Speed T4 has a 13-litre fuel tank, tips the scales at 180 kg, has a wheelbase of 1,406 mm and gets a seat height of 806 mm. In the features department, the Triumph Speed T4 gets dual-channel ABS, all-LED lighting and analogue speedometer with a digital MID. At the same time, the Triumph Speed 400 comes with traction control, golden USD forks, and electronic throttle to name a few.
The Triumph Speed T4 rivals the likes of the Hero Maverick 440, Jawa 42 FJ and Honda CB350RS to name a few.
