Triumph Speed 400 & Scrambler 400X prices hiked

Triumph Motorcycles has announced a modest increase in the prices of its popular models, the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. The prices of these motorcycles have been revised upward by Rs 1,500, reflecting the evolving market dynamics. As a result, the Speed 400 now comes with a price tag of Rs. 2,34,497 (ex-showroom), while the Scrambler 400X is priced at Rs 2,64,496 (ex-showroom).

Triumph Scrambler 400X and Speed 400: Colours

Triumph offers the Scrambler 400X in three striking dual-tone shades: Carnival Red with Phantom Black, Matt Khaki Green with Fusion White, and Phantom Black with Silver Ice. On the other hand, the Speed 400 is available in three captivating paint schemes: Carnival Red, Phantom Black, and Caspian Blue. These models are distinguished by their design elements, including a split- and single-piece seat, distinctive exhaust, scrambler-style oval panel, hand guards (exclusive to the Scrambler 400X), and a unique set of tyres.

Triumph Scrambler 400X and Speed 400: Engine Specifications

Both the new Scrambler 400X and Speed 400 are powered by a 398.15cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. This engine delivers 40PS at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 37.5Nm at 6,500rpm. The motor is mated to six-speed gearbox.

While the Scrambler 400X and Speed 400 have distinct visual identities, they share a common set of features. Both motorcycles come equipped with a new semi-digital cluster, featuring an analogue speedometer paired with a modern LCD screen. Riders will appreciate the advanced ride-by-wire technology, traction control, and dual-channel ABS, offering enhanced safety and control.

In terms of suspension, both models boast 43mm USD front forks and a mono-shock with preload adjustability, providing a comfortable and stable ride. Additionally, they both feature a 230mm single disc brake at the rear. However, there are differences in the front brake setup: the Speed 400 is equipped with a 300mm single disc with a four-piston calliper, while the Scrambler 400X gets a larger 320mm single disc brake with a four-piston calliper, ensuring reliable stopping power when needed.
