Triumph confirms Daytona 250 which will be made in India
Triumph has confirmed what we have already told you. They are coming out with a single cylinder 250cc motorcycle. Triumph even displayed the motorcycle's sketch which first appeared on oliepeil.nl. It is clear that this bike looks like a mini-Daytona rather than the spied mini Street Triple. Triumph also says that this motorcycle will be a 2015 model which means we may just be able to see it on Indian roads around March 2015. By which time, Triumph will have already established a dealer network in India. The icing on the cake though is that this motorcycle will be made at Triumph's upcoming facility in Narsapura, Karnataka. This essentially means a competitive price tag for those looking for an entry-level fully-faired sportsbike with the Triumph logo on the tank. It will go up against the Honda CBR300R, Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC390, Hyosung GT250R and the 250 that TVS-BMW are working on.
