The understanding between Maruti Suzuki and Toyota has been especially fruitful for the latter, giving Toyota an entry into a space in the Indian car market it has so far found challenging to find a foothold in. As a measure of this success, the Toyota Glanza and Toyota Urban Cruiser have now crossed over 1 lakh units in cumulative sales.

Toyota Glanza, Toyota Urban Cruiser sales

Launched in June 2019, the Toyota Glanza was the first of the models to come from this alliance. A rebadged Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the Glanza has crossed sales of 65,000 units since its launch. The Toyota Urban Cruiser is a rebadged Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and has been on sale since September 2020, clocking 35,000 in sales. The brand has also expanded in tier 2 and tier 3 cities through its 418 dealer outlets which has helped along with its online sales initiatives.
