Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition launched in India
Toyota has introduced a new Fortuner variant, the 'Leader Edition'. Bookings for the Fortuner Leader Edition are now available, and buyers may reserve this special edition online or at their closest Toyota dealership. Toyota has not announced any official price for the Fortuner Leader Edition yet, but the car will only be available in 4x2 configuration.
Outside, the Fortuner Leader Edition has new black alloy wheels and three dual-tone colour options: Super white, Platinum Pearl white, and Silver Metallic, all with contrasting black accents. The interior has dual-tone seats and other amenities including TPMS, a wireless charger, and auto-folding ORVMs.
Mechanically, the Fortuner Leader Edition has a single 2.8-litre diesel engine paired with a six-speed manual and automatic transmission. This powertrain is good enough for 204PS and 420Nm when mated to the manual gearbox and 500Nm when paired to the 6-speed auto.
Commenting on the launch of Fortuner Leader Edition, Sabari Manohar Vice President, of Sales-Service-Used Car Business, at Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, "Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. The Japanese firm also stated that it has sold over 2.5 lakh Fortuners in India since its inception in 2009. The current prices of the Fortuner start from Rs 35.93 lakh and rise all the way up to Rs 51.44 lakh (ex-showroom).
