Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced its first-ever off-roading experience for its customers in India, called the Great 4x4 X-Pedition. The carmaker will organize the off-road driving experience in four regions: north, south, east, and west. The aim of the Great 4x4 X-Pedition is to connect with the nationwide 4x4 SUV community and provide an off-roading experience. Additionally, the brand plans to establish a group of off-road enthusiasts to create more such opportunities and offer more off-roading experiences.

The first leg of the Great 4x4 X-Pedition will take place in the southern zone of India between May 26 and May 28, 2023. The event will begin with a flag-off in Bangalore, and the participants will then visit Hassan and Sakleshpur. For the Great 4x4 X-Pedition, Toyota has designed special tracks with various challenging obstacle courses, such as articulation, side inclines, rambler, deep ditch, slush, rocky bed, and more.

All the off-roading events in each region will see participation from Toyota SUV owners. The fleet of SUVs will include the legendary Land Cruiser 300, Hilux pickup, Fortuner, and even the Urban Cruiser Hyryder AWD. Interestingly, Toyota will also welcome participants who do not own a Toyota SUV but are associated with different brands.

"Toyota believes in bringing unlimited experiences to its customers. In this direction, Toyota's 4x4 Great X-pedition is designed to create a new platform and connect with the 4x4 enthusiasts group, enriching their experiences by providing them an opportunity through unforgettable journey with us that will remain etched in their memories for life. Furthermore, TKM's foray into 4X4 drives in India will allow the SUV enthusiasts to unleash the true potential of their proudly owned vehicles and further enhance their active outdoor lifestyles," said Atul Sood, Vice President, Sales and Strategic Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
