Top selling cars of August 2022

August 2022 saw some good numbers in terms of sales. Maruti Suzuki did dominate as the leading vehicle manufacturer in India. Infact they managed to rack up 4 of the top 5 spots. Here's a list of the best-selling cars of August 2022.

Maruti Suzuki Alto

A small city car by the name of Maruti Suzuki Alto has been on the market for a very long time. It may be a very small vehicle but that doesn't stop its sales. Maruti Suzuki sold 12,933 Maruti Suzuki Alto units in May 2022. A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking sensors, front and rear bottle holder, power windows, remote keyless entry and front dual airbags are the list of features that are available on the Alto. The entry-level car's sales are expected to improve further with the arrival of the new generation Alto K10.

Tata Nexon

The Tata Nexon sold 15,085 units in August 2022. The car comes equipped with a host of features such as LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, a fully digital instrument cluster an updated seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system and plenty more.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

The Brezza is the newest car here and managed to grab the best-selling SUV from the Nexon with 15,193 units sold. Maruti Suzuki Brezza come equipped with new front and rear bumpers, roof rails, new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, blacked-out A, B, and C-pillars, wraparound LED tail lights, Brezza lettering on the boot lid, an integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, a shark-fin antenna, electric sunroof, paddle shifters, Head-Up Display (HUD), Suzuki Connect telematics, a new nine-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, a new flat-bottom steering wheel, six airbags, and ESP.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR

Maruti Suzuki sold 18,398 units of the WagonR. That's just 20 units shy of the top spot  The car gets premium beige and dark grey melange seat fabric seats, seven-inch Smart Play Studio with smartphone navigation, dual airbags, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), front seat belts reminder, high-speed alert system, rear parking sensors and a few more features.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is the best selling car of August 2022 and Maruti Suzuki sold 18,418 Balenos in July 2022. The car gets a 360-degree camera and even a heads-up display. The other highlights of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno include a new front bumper, LED headlamps, new fog lights, new alloy wheels, LED taillights, a black and blue interior theme, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Maruti's SmartPlay Studio app, steering-mounted controls, engine start-stop button, automatic climate control and a height-adjustable driver seat. It's pretty clear to see why the Baleno tops the charts now.
