Top 5 best selling cars in May 2022

The semi-conductor scarcity issue is yet to be resolved and vehicle sales are yet to reach its peak once again. This doesn't mean Maruti Suzuki doesn't dominate as the leading vehicle manufacturer in India. Infact there is only one car creeping into the top 5 which is not a Maruti Suzuki and only 2 when seeing the top 10 list. Here's a list of the best-selling cars of May 2022.

Maruti Suzuki Alto

A small city car by the name of Maruti Suzuki Alto has been on the market for a very long time. It may be a very small vehicle but that doesn't stop its sales. Maruti Suzuki sold 12,933 Maruti Suzuki Alto units in May 2022. A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking sensors, front and rear bottle holder, power windows, remote keyless entry and front dual airbags are the list of features that are available on the Alto.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is the freshest car on this list and Maruti Suzuki sold 13,970 Balenos in May 2022. The car gets a 360-degree camera and even a heads-up display.

The other highlights of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno include a new front bumper, LED headlamps, new fog lights, new alloy wheels, LED taillights, a black and blue interior theme, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Maruti's SmartPlay Studio app, steering-mounted controls, engine start-stop button, automatic climate control and a height-adjustable driver seat. It's pretty clear to see why the Baleno tops the charts now.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

The Maruti Suzuki Swift has been around the Indian market for quite some time now. Its sporty looks and fun yet reliable engine make up for the perfect hatchback without being too heavy on your wallet. Which is one of the reasons why Maruti Suzuki sold over 14,133 Swifts in May 2022. Tata Nexon

Maruti Suzuki WagonR

No surprises here. The best-selling car of May 2022 was the Maruti Suzuki WagonR. Maruti Suzuki sold 16,814 units of the WagonR. The ca gets premium beige and dark grey melange seat fabric seats, seven-inch Smart Play Studio with smartphone navigation, dual airbags, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), front seat belts reminder, high-speed alert system, rear parking sensors and a few more features.
