Tesla Model Y launched for Rs 59.89 lakh
Tesla has launched the Model Y Standard rear-wheel drive version for Rs 59.89 lakh and the Long Range RWD version will set you back by Rs 67.89 lakh, both prices are ex-showroom. The RWD offers a claimed range of 500 km on a full charge and the long-range variant claims a range of 622 km.
The Standard variant of the Model Y can dash from a standstill to 100 kmph in a claimed 5.9 seconds and the same is done in 5.6 seconds by the Long Range variant. Both cars have a top speed of 201 kmph.
The deliveries will start by the third quarter of 2025 and the initial phase includes Mumbai, Delhi and Gurugram. The Model Y comes to India as a full import unit.
The feature list includes a 15.3-inch central touchscreen, a nine-speaker audio system, an eight-pinch rear touchscreen, powered front and rear AC vents, a panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, powered two-way folding and heated rear seats and eight exterior cameras to name a few.
The company is providing a four-year or 80,000 km warranty on the vehicle along with an eight-year or 1,92,000 km warranty on the battery and drive unit. The Tesla Model Y locks horns with the likes of the Volvo C40 Recharge and Kia EV6 to name a few.
