Indian automaker Tata Motors is all set to showcase advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) technology for its vehicles at the forthcoming Auto Expo in New Delhi in January 2023. Going by its recent social media post, the brand could also showcase hydrogen fuel-cell technology or even a hydrogen-powered concept vehicle at the expo.

Tata Motors will soon join the list of carmakers, such as MG, Mahindra, Kia, Hyundai, and Honda, that offer ADAS in their cars. "Let's go beyond passive safety with several advanced driver-assist features that not only help in post-crash situations but also prevent accidents," stated the post on Tata Motors' social media handle.

If this post is to go by, the brand is expected to offer level 1 of driving automation. With this, the upcoming Tata Motors vehicles could also feature dedicated e-call/SOS and RSA switches, which would be able to send alerts to designated emergency services and contacts in the case of a crash.

The ADAS technology will likely bring newer hardware, including system-on-a-chip (SoC), GPU, and a new operating system to the Tata vehicles. In line with new software and hardware, the ADAS-equipped upcoming cars might feature a better infotainment system with an enhanced refresh rate, touch-sample rate, and a fresh user interface. Additionally, Tata may provide a new fully digital driver display. Meanwhile, the Safari and Harrier are expected to be the first Tata offerings to get with ADAS.
