Tata Tiago NRG CNG launched in India, prices start from Rs 7.40 lakh
Tata Motors has expanded its range of CNG offerings further with the launch of the Tata Tiago NRG iCNG. This CNG version of the crossover-themed Tata Tiago is priced from Rs 7.40 lakh for the base XT variant. The CNG crossover has now gone on sale across Tata Motors delearships.
Tata Tiago NRG CNG features, variants
The Tata Tiago NRG CNG is available in the same two variants as the standard Tiago NRG. The base XT trim gets equipment like 14-inch hyperstyle steel wheels, a 3.5-inch infotainment system, steering mounted controls, height adjustable driver's seat and front fog lamps. The top-spec variant further adds a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto/Apple Carplay and 8 speakers, a digital instrument cluster, auto climate control and a push-button start.
The CNG variant of the Tata Tiago NRG sees a marginal drop in ground clearance to 177mm from 181mm although the retuned suspension carries over, possibly with changes to accommodate the CNG kit. Four colour options are available - Foresta Green, Fire Red, Polar White, and Cloudy Grey.
Tata Tiago NRG CNG engine, specifications, mileage
The Tata Tiago NRG CNG continues to be powered by the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol, producing 73PS and 95 Nm here. These are 13PS and 18 Nm less than the petrol-only variants. There is a single five-speed manual gearbox option.
The Tata iCNG cars come fitted with a 60-litre CNG tank along with a 35-litre petrol capacity, good for 300 km of CNG-only range. Tata Motors has also added numerous safety systems to the CNG kits to make them safer, which you can read about here.
Tata Tiago NRG CNG price
The Tiago XT NRG iCNG is priced at Rs 7.40 lakh while the Tiago NRG iCNG costs Rs 7.80 lakh. These CNG versions are Rs 90,000 more than the equivalent petrol-only variants.
