Tata Tiago EV launched in India, prices start from Rs 8.49 lakh
Tata Motors has launched the Tata Tiago EV in India. Prices for the electric hatchback start from Rs 8.49 lakh making it by far the most affordable EV in the passenger segment currently.
Tata Tiago EV battery, range, charging
The Tata Tiago EV is expected to get two battery and range options. The Tiago EV uses the firm's Ziptron high-voltage electric architecture in a larger 24 kWh capacity to return an MIDC-certified range of 314 km. A smaller 19.2 kWh liquid-cooled battery returns 250 km of range. The battery pack is weather and impact resistant and carries an 8-year and 1.6 lakh km warranty. The larger pack returns 55 kW and 114 Nm, the smaller one makes 45 kW and 104 Nm. The Tiago EV can do 0 to 60 kmph in 5.7s.
There are four charging options including a 15A socket, a 3.3 kWh home charger, a 7.2 kW AC charger as well as a DC charging option that can go from 0 to 80 percent range in 57min.

The Tata Tiago EV gets a blanked-out front fascia with tri-arrow motifs, model-specific wheel covers, new paint options and light blue highlights.
New features over the combustion-engined Tiago include cruise control and multi-mode regen as well as a sport mode, auto headlamps and wipers, 8-speaker Harman audio, TPMS and connected tech. Other features carried over from the Tigor EV are digital instrumentation, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, LED DRLs, projector lamps, push button start/stop. driver seat height adjustment, tilt steering adjustment and LED taillamps.
Tata Tiago EV variants, prices, deliveries
Prices are valid for the first 10,000 bookings which include 2,000 for previous Tata EV owners. Delivering begins January 2023.
