Tata Nexon EV Max Dark Edition launched in India, prices start from Rs 19.04 lakh

Tata Motors has launched the Dark Edition for the Nexon EV Max range, and prices start from Rs 19.04 lakh for the XZ+ Lux while the XZ+ Lux with 7.2kW AC charger is priced at Rs 19.54 lakh. The Black Edition from Tata Motors has been available in their other models but the Nexon EV Max Dark Edition also gets some additional new features.

The biggest change in the Nexon EV Max Dark Edition is the addition of the brand's new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that debuted in the Harrier and Safari. The bigger screen was much needed as the previous model had a screen almost half the size.

The Tata Nexon EV Max Dark Edition has a dark-themed interior pack, jewelled control knob, a Piano Black dashboard with the tri-arrow design, dark-themed door trims, dark-themed seat upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with EV Blue stitching on the inside. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a new EV display theme, voice assistant, EPB with auto-hold function, ventilated front seats, automated climate control, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, electric sunroof, wireless charger, and an air purifier are among the notable feature features. Three driving modes and a multi-mode regen function are also available.

The SUV is dressed in Midnight Black to increase stealth. The trim below the window line, known as the 'Humanity Line,' is painted in black, while the alloys are finished in grey. But, because this is an EV, there are blue splashes on the front bumper and badging to remind you it's an EV.

The Max's powertrain has not been altered. As a result, it's propelled by a 143PS and 250Nm front-wheel-drive electric engine powered by a 40.5kWh battery pack. This configuration has an ARAI-claimed range of 453km. The Nexon EV Max, like most other EVs, allows rapid charging, with an 0-80 percent charge time of 56 minutes using a 50kW charger.

The Tata Nexon EV Max directly rivals the Mahindra XUV400 but also takes on the like of the MG ZS EV.
