ata Motors today rolled out 2,00,000th Nexon from its manufacturing facility in Ranjangaon, Pune. Tata Motors reached the 1,50,000 units milestone in November 2020 and the last 50,000 units were manufactured in less than six months. Amidst the pandemic, the Indian carmaker adhered to all the safety protocols and emphasised employees safety. Tata Nexon is among the top 3 best selling sub-compact SUVs on sale in the Indian market.

The Nexon is one of the most successful and best-selling Tata from the carmaker and it has truly changed the perception of buyers towards the brand. Its potent powertrains and unique design grabbed the attention of the buyers and the five star Global NCAP rating worked as the icing on the cake. Tata Nexon became the first car in India to achieve five stars in the Global NCAP crash test and promoted safety as an important aspect for new car buyers. Tata sold 8,683 units of the Nexon in the month of March 2021 and the demand is further increasing.

Tata Motors recently rejigged the diesel variants of the Nexon to ease out the choices, although the firm has reiterated that the diesel Nexon will continue to be on sale. Tata Nexon is now offered in 20 variants out of which, 12 variants are in petrol and eight variants are in diesel. In line with the brand's promise of 'New Forever', Tata frequently makes changes to the Nexon range to keep the buyers interested. Before the variant rejig, Tata Motors also changed the alloy wheels for the top trim levels of the Nexon.
