Tata Motors Unveil the upcoming Sierra in its ICE avatar at Auto Expo 2025
The Sierra has been a long time coming, after a showcase of the electric version of the Sierra the previous year, we got to see the ICE avatar of the Sierra in a bright yellow paint option.
The Sierra boasts a unique front design with LED daytime running lights (DRLs) that form a continuous curve, creating a futuristic appearance, and the headlamps are placed low onto the bumper for better functionality. The tall, flat bonnet, devoid of a traditional radiator grille, represents the Sierra's identity and displays the 'SIERRA' branding in the front.
The Sierra's rear design shows width and stability, with a wide, clamshell-like tail door making it look broad and a pretty serious SUV. The design features sleek single-part taillights and a floating roof effect from a partially blackened D-pillar. The elements are modern yet you can see whiffs of history in it.
On the outside the original Sierra's single piece rear glass has been reimagined as a modern twist on the classic wrap-around effect, featuring a black painted finisher on the roofline and a panoramic sunroof, giving the concept a floating-roof appearance. The Sierra sports a strong yet sophisticated outlook in the overall exterior with the neat strong shoulder lines and boxed out wheel arches reminiscing the first SUV of India.
The Sierra ICE iteration should host both petrol and diesel powertrains with both manual and automatic transmission options. The Sierra is slated for a release later this year, however we expect the Sierra EV to release first, much like the Curvv was introduced.
