Tata introduces Safari Storme Explorer Edition at Rs 10.86 lakh
Tata Motors today announced the launch of its new Safari Storme Explorer Edition. It will be available at all Tata showrooms starting at Rs.10.86 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The new Storme gets a slew of features and changes. Externally, the SUV gets Explorer front nudge guard, Explorer body decals on the C-Pillar and the hood, a chrome garnish for the projector headlights and taillights, and Explorer branded door visors. Other add-ons include a cycle carrier, cargo basket and a roof-mounted canopy.

On the inside, the Safari Storme Explorer Edition gets a top-of-the-line touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking assist, a navigation system and faux leather seat covers.
Power comes from the 2.2-litre VariCOR turbocharged engine with VTT (Variable Turbine Technology) that delivers 140PS & 320Nm of peak torque. The 0-100 dash is completed in less than 15 seconds. Fuel efficiency numbers stand at 14kmpl. The Safari Storme also features ESOF (electronic shift on the fly) technology, enabling engagement of the 4x4 or 4X2 mode, on the move.
The ladder-frame chassis of the Safari Storme is constructed with hydroformed members that enhance rigidity while reducing weight. The vehicle also has a double wishbone suspension set-up which ensures ride quality. A turning radius of 5.4mts, ground clearance of 200mm, 26 degree gradeability, new rack & pinion steering system and electrically operated ORVM with turn signals provide a better outdoor drive experience.
