Tata Harrier EV teased ahead of launch

The Tata Harrier EV will be launched on June 3 and the brand has released a video on its social media handles which boasts the off-road capabilities of the electric SUV.

The Tata Harrier EV uses two electric motors, one on each axle and the specifications are yet to be disclosed but the company has stated that both motors together will produce a torque of over 500 Nm. The video also showcased multiple drive modes on the rotary dial - Road, Snow, Sand  and a Rock Crawl mode to name a few. We can also expect Eco and Boost modes with buttons for the same. Other expected features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, multi-zone climate control, wireless charging pad, USB and Type-C charging ports, and rear AC vents to name a few.

The safety kit on the Harrier EV is likely to have six-airbags, ESP, ABS, blind-spot detection, lane change assist, and tyre pressure monitoring system to name a few. The expected price on the Tata Harrier EV could be between the Rs 25-30 lakh mark with a range of around 600 km on a single charge. We can expect the Harrier EV to be offered with two battery packs - a short range and a long range version.

Upon launch the Tata Harrier EV will lock horns with the likes of the Mahindra XEV 9e and BYD Atto 3 to name a few.
