Tata Motors has expanded the lineup of the Harrier EV by introducing a new all-wheel-drive variant that makes the dual-motor setup more affordable than before.

The newly added Fearless+ QWD 75 is priced at Rs 26.49 lakh (ex-showroom), which lowers the entry price for the all-wheel-drive version by Rs 2.50 lakh compared with the earlier top-spec-only offering.

Previously, the dual-motor setup was limited to the range-topping Empowered 75 trim. With the addition of the Fearless+ QWD 75, buyers now have two variants to choose from if they want the all-wheel-drive configuration. The Harrier EV range itself continues to be priced between Rs 21.49 lakh and Rs 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom), unchanged since its initial launch. Tata also notes that an AC home charging unit is available as an optional extra priced at Rs 49,000.

The new variant uses the same 75 kWh battery pack paired with two electric motors, one on each axle. Together, they produce a combined output of 313 PS  and 504Nm. According to Tata, the all-wheel-drive version can deliver a claimed driving range of up to 622km on a full charge. In terms of performance in different conditions, the QWD models get six terrain modes along with features such as off-road assist and a boost mode.

Despite being the second-from-top variant, the Fearless+ QWD 75 still comes with a long list of features. It includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a JBL Black 10-speaker audio setup, and a 360-degree camera. Comfort features include ventilated front seats, a six-way powered driver seat with memory function and a four-way powered co-driver seat. Other equipment includes 19-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, a wireless phone charger and rear window sunshades.

However, a few premium features remain exclusive to the range-topping Empowered trim. These include auto park assist, Level 2 ADAS, a digital IRVM, an under-bonnet camera view and a larger 14.53-inch touchscreen. The top variant also gets a Dolby Atmos sound system, powered boss mode and a powered tailgate.

Alongside the new variant, Tata has also introduced a new exterior colour called Seaweed Green. This shade is now available across the entire Harrier EV lineup. Apart from the addition of the new trim and colour option, there are no other changes to the SUV's mechanical package or equipment list.
