Suzuki V-Strom 800 range unveiled in India
The Suzuki V-Strom 800 range has been officially unveiled in India. The adventure motorcycle is powered by a 776cc, parallel-twin, four-stroke, liquid-cooled DOHC engine that comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick shifter.
The V-Strom 800DE is equipped with Suzuki Drive Mode Selector(SDMS), a traction control system dedicated Gravel(G) mode, ride-by-wire throttle and a two-mode ABS with rear ABS cancel functionality. The bike is equipped with a 20-litre fuel tank and Low RPM Assist and Easy Start System.
The Suzuki 800DE features a robust steel frame, long-travel SHOWA suspension with an inverted front fork, link-type rear setup, wire-spoke wheels with a 21-inch front tyre and 17-inch rear tyre. Twin disc brakes manage braking at the front and a single disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as standard.
In terms of dimensions, the bike includes a ground clearance of 220mm, a seat height of 855mm and a kerb weight of 232kg. The bike rides on 90/90-21 M/C(front) and 150/70R17M/C(rear) tyres. The instrument cluster offers a 5-inch TFT colour display with night/day modes and a USB charging port.
The V-Strom 800DE features a distinct brake design, vertically stacked hexagonal LED headlamps and a modern tail section. The bike is being offered in three colours, i.e, Champion Yellow No.2, Glass Mat Mechanical Gray and Glass Sparkle Black. Suzuki has also introduced accessories such as an aluminium skid plate, a high screen, aluminium top cases, and a centre stand.
