Suzuki Motorcycle India has achieved an important milestone of rolling out the seven millionth vehicle from its Gurugram facility in Haryana. Notably, the V-Strom SX in the Champion Yellow No. 2 paint job became the seven millionth unit manufactured and rolled out from the Gurugram plant.

Suzuki Motorcycle India line-up
The brand commenced its operations in the country in February 2006 and now its portfolio comprises numerous two-wheelers, including scooters, streetfighters, super sports, and adventure tourers. Suzuki Motorcycle India currently sells the Avenis, Access 125, Burgman Street, Burgman Street EX, Gixxer SF, Gixxer, Gixxer SF 250, Gixxer 250, and V-Strom SX. It also retails V-Strom 650XT, Katana, and the legendary Hayabusa GSX1300R.

Upcoming Suzuki offerings in India
Suzuki recently unveiled the GSX-8S and V-Strom 800DE and they have already gone on sale in some international markets. We expect both models to arrive in the country sometime later this year. However, one of the most compelling products from Suzuki will be the electric Burgman. While various EV start-ups and established two-wheeler makers, such as Bajaj and TVS, are already offering electric scooters, Suzuki has still not launched an electric vehicle (EV). Having said that, the e-Burgman is expected to be the first EV from the brand for India to arrive sometime next year.

Speaking on the occasion, Kenichi Umeda, MD, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., said, "We are delighted to accomplish seven millionth production landmark. The company began its operations in February 2006 and has been delivering superior value products since its inception. This is a testimony of our commitment to India and we wish to achieve many such milestones in the future."

"In the financial year ending March 2023, we achieved a record sale of 9.38 lakh units and year-on-year growth of 24.3% as compared to FY 2021-22. We thank our valued customers, business partners, associates, and all my colleagues for this remarkable feat," he added.
