The RX6 does get the interiors of the feature rich RX7 with the powertrain borrowed from the RX5. Powering the RX6 is the RX270 Xdi, five cylinder engine which generates 164PS of max power and total torque of 340Nm. Transmission is a five-speed manual box and does not have all wheel drive as in the RX7, but with the 4X4 Torque On Demand (TOD) system with low ratio found in the RX5 variant.

SsangYong Rexton RX6 (2)The RX6 gets a five speed manual transmission with interiors like that of RX7

Inside, the RX6 seats have premium leather upholstery and the interior gets a dual tone theme consisting of beige and black colours. Driver's seat can be electrically adjusted in eight ways and feedback from the road is improved by way of a speed sensitive power steering. Safety aspect is taken care of by dual front and side airbags, hill descent control which can be turned on/off and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with active rollover protection and anti-slip regulation.

Features such as electric sunroof, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and three row air conditioning make this variant a good value for money proposition. The RX6 is available in satin white, opulent purple, moondust silver and volcano black colours. We believe that with this variant SsangYong will be able to draw a lot more customers to their showrooms and will likely see further increase in their sales numbers.
