SsangYong launches new Korando C in Europe
In August, SsangYong Motor, owned by Mahindra Group, unveiled the 2014 Korando C in Korea. It has started selling it in the global market following its European launch in Wiesbaden, Germany.
"The Korando C has been reborn having actively adopted global market needs. I expect that it will establish itself as a flagship model of SsangYong in Europe as well," said Lee Yoo-il, CEO, SsangYong Motor.
The company has sold 130,000 units of the model, which was launched in 2010 for the global market, and its annual sales volume is expected to rise to 80,000. To establish a solid foothold in key markets, SsangYong will put the model on sale through 1,300 global distributors.
In Europe, the New Korando C will be sold with three engine options. The diesel model is equipped with the e-XDi200 engine that makes 175PS or the e-XDi200 low emissions engine that makes 149PS. The petrol model features the e-XGi 2-litre engine that is good for 149PS. A ventilated driver's seat, smart key system, DRL (Daytime Running Lights) and TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) are other additional features.
