Yes, we agree that's a long list of motorcycles mentioned in the headline, but then these are all the options that you can choose from, if you are looking for a fun yet practical 160cc motorcycle in the country. Starting with the Honda X-Blade, which is the latest to come with a BSVI compliant powertrain, launched at a price of Rs 1.05 lakh, ex-showroom and is available in two variants - single disc and dual disc (front and rear). Honda has tweaked the graphics and has also added a rear disc brake without any change in the mechanicals.

And now we move to the other offerings in this space. The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is one of the popular choices in the segment, be it cause of the way it looks and the features it comes with. However, not far behind it the new Hero on the block, the Xtreme 160R, which does look way more distinct compared to whatever we've seen from the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer and also boasts of a premium build quality along with other highlights. Then there's the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, a motorcycle that takes the legacy of the Pulsar brand ahead with streetfighter styling and a performance to back it up. Bajaj Pulsar NS160 BSVI
Below these two offerings is the Hero Xtreme 160R with its 15PS power output. The Honda X-Blade, Suzuki Gixxer and the Yamaha FZ V3.0 are behind the Xtreme in the respective order. The Honda X-Blade is the one with maximum torque in this class. Though its numbers aren't substantially greater than that of the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, the same is achieved at a lower 5,500 rpm.

On the other hand, the Xtreme's 14Nm is achieved at a relatively lower 6,500 rpm compared to Apache RTR 160's 7,250rpm. Similarly, even though the torque numbers of Gixxer and FZ V3.0 are almost identical, the latter achieves it at 500rpm lesser than the Gixxer. All these five motorcycles are offered with a 5-speed gearbox. Hero claims that the Xtreme 160R deliver a class-leading 0 to 60kmph acceleration of 4.7 seconds.
Starting with the Hero Xtreme160R, it comes with first-in-segment LED package, with full LED headlamp, rear H-signature LED tail lamp and LED turn indicators with hazard light switch.

In the BSVI update, the TVS Apache RTR 140 4V received a sharper headlight design retaining the exposed fully-digital instrumentation positioned above it. The Suzuki Gixxer was updated last year with a LED-headlight and a new taillight. The feature lists consists of an all digital instrumentation and a chunky double-barrel exhaust. The feature list of the BSVI Yamaha FZ V3.0 continues to be the same with an all-LCD display for the instrument cluster and the motorcycle deploys the same cycle parts as before. The recently launched Honda X-Blade too gets a digital instrumentation with a gear position indicator. The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is the only offering in this range to be offered with a semi-digital instrumentation.
Suzuki Gixxer BSVI
The price difference between these two offerings is around Rs 13,000. The rest of the motorcycles, namely the TVS Apache RTR 160 4v, Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and the Yamaha FZS-Fi are priced in a similar range of Rs 1.02 lakh to Rs 1.06 lakh. The Honda X-Blade BSVI is priced between Rs 1.06 lakh to 1.10 lakh, ex-showroom.
