Skoda Kushaq gets new Ambition Classic variant, prices start from Rs 12.69 lakh
Ahead of the launch of the top-spec Monte-Carlo, Skoda India has launched a new lower-spec variant to the Skoda Kushaq line-up as well. This is called the Ambition Classic and is placed between the base Active and the mid-spec Ambition trims. Prices for the Kushaq Ambition Classic start from Rs 12.69 lakh for the manual.
Skoda Kushaq Ambition Classic features
The Skoda Kushaq Ambition Classic loses out on some of the Ambition variant's features to coincide with the price cut but also gets some cosmetic enhancements. The biggest difference is the deletion of the auto climate control, replaced here by manual AC controls. The Ambition Classic adds some features like chrome exterior accents on the front bumpers, glass area and tailgate, black suede upholstery and a contrasting black roof.
Other feature highlights of the Kushaq Ambition Classic carried over from the Ambition are LED headlamps, 16-inch alloys, front fog lamps with cornering function, electrically folding outer mirrors, cruise control and 10-inch touchscreen infotainment.
Skoda Kushaq Ambition Classic engine, specifications
Like the Ambition, the Skoda Kushaq Ambition Classic is only available with the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol motor. This makes 110PS and 175 Nm and pairs with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic. The 1.5-litre, 150PS motor is reserved for only the Style variant.
Skoda Kushaq Ambition Classic prices, launch date
The Ambition Classic variant of the Skoda Kushaq in manual form costs Rs 12.69 lakh, while the automatic variant costs Rs 14.09 lakh. This is Rs 25,000 less than the Ambition but Rs 1.7 lakh more than the base manual Active variant. The Skoda Kushaq Ambition Classic is a limited edition model.
